Well, to truly tell, I am not a blogger and probably i am going to post after an year. But what the heck, here i am anyways so lets take it out.
Last summer and winter I met with a few girls and though they all interested me as individuals I could never find them interesting as a partner. That and I have one more problem. I need someone who can either match up to my talking or listen to me non stop. Adding to that, I am a not an over ambitious person, I truly like to live my life not run it down making money and not having time to spend. So I was not on the lookout for anyone but just wished I had someone.
And in comes Shaurya, my best friend( if not the bond then 13 years of friendship qualifies me to that position). He flies down to namma bengaluuru from his new hometown, some village in Germany, and he talks about this girl who he knew as a kid and she was in Infy. And little did I know where the converstaion would land me up and I ended up taking his challenge for finding this girl out in Infosys.
Well now, its really not that difficult to find out a person in the company. And then his friend who I supposed to find out(named: Priyanka) well, she really was not that difficult to find. And the challenge was to wish her a happy birthday on 17th Feb. But as usual my project deadline was tight and I completely forgot about this 'thing'. It was in the isles of March, that my friend Shaurya contacted me again from his remote village, and asked me about her. Well I told him I found her out (which was half the truth, I knew her mail id :D ) and promised she would post on his FB or orkut in a few days. So next day to fulfill the wishes of my great giant panda friend, I mailed her. Well she was wary at first but soon we ended up having long chats and getting to know bts of each other. And slowly even Shaurya got removed from between us. It was mid-April then.
I told Shaurya I like this girl and i really want to go the whole nine yards with her. Well his advise, don't hurry, take it slowly and calmly. don't rush, don't be the idiot you usually are. And you know what, he had been right about all my mistakes before them and i was tempted to believe him. And then he asked me not to talk to her for two days, just to see her reactions. That was April 28th. And then there was 29th.
It started with a small forward. I can still remember the title.'Weirdest Proposals from Pune BB'.
And i did just that. The chat conversation was something like this
Siddharth: What if i proposed to you.
Priyanka: ha ha, my genie
Siddharth: Is that a yes or no
Priyanak: hmmm
Siddharth: OMG, if thats a yes i can jump off my florr right now.
Priyanka: What????
Siddharth: you said yes right?
Priyanka: For?
Siddharth: What if i proposed to you? What would be your answe.
Priyanka: I said ha ha
Siddharth: that menas
Priyanka: Are you saying this seriously?
Siddharth: yes i am.
(this is after two mins)
Priyanka: I cant talk to you now. bye
What followed was a one and a half hour proposal which led to me finding something truly great.My angel. And thank God my mind never listened to Shaurya!!!
P.S: We are going to get married soon.
